The Darden School of Brew brings together students, partners, alumni, and the Charlottesville brewing community through brew days, tastings, brewery partnerships, industry conversations, and social events centered around the business and culture of beer.

More Than a Beer Club

The School of Brew exists to educate members on the craft, business, and culture of brewing while building lasting relationships across the Darden community and Charlottesville beer industry. From hands-on brewing experiences to industry education and community events, the club creates opportunities for members to learn, connect, and build friendships through shared experiences.

What We Do

The School of Brew provides members with hands-on exposure to brewing through commercial-scale brew days, collaborative beer releases, and behind-the-scenes experiences with local breweries. The club also creates opportunities for members to learn about the business of beer through industry discussions, brewery founder conversations, tastings, and educational sessions focused on brewing, operations, and distribution. Beyond brewing and industry education, the organization serves as a major social and community-building outlet at Darden through events such as Oktoberfest, Beer Bus, tailgates, Beer Mile, brewery crawls, release parties, and collaborative events with other student organizations.

Brewery & Community Relationships

The School of Brew works closely with breweries and beverage industry partners to create hands-on learning opportunities and unique experiences for members while strengthening relationships between Darden and the Charlottesville brewing community.
