Purpose Travels Well
Darden Worldwide Courses are week-long courses led by Darden faculty outside the United States in March and October. Each course provides the opportunity to visit a different country and experience its business practices and cultures firsthand. Courses include classes with leadership speakers as well as onsite visits to companies, governmental agencies and cultural sites.
The Rwanda DWC explores a country that has become a model of resilience, innovation and economic transformation. Through meetings with local entrepreneurs, multinational business leaders and community organizations, students gain firsthand insight into Rwanda’s remarkable development story. The course also examines how reconciliation, sustainability and social impact have shaped the nation’s business environment and future growth.
The South Korea DWC provides students with an immersive look at one of the world’s most dynamic economies. Through company visits in Seoul and Busan, interactions with business leaders and exploration of cultural and historical landmarks, students learn how South Korea’s unique history, technological leadership and global industries influence its business landscape. The course combines academic learning with cultural experiences that deepen students’ understanding of international business and leadership.
