Entrepreneurship through Acquisition

Entrepreneurship through Acquisition

The Darden ETA Club is a student community that aims to provide Darden students the education, opportunities, and resources necessary to explore the Entrepreneurship through Acquisition space and prepare to acquire a business. We do this by facilitating networking opportunities from outside investors and accelerators, providing educational information about search funds, and fostering a network of current and former searchers.

Club events include regular lunch and learns, office hours, and other information sessions with investors, searchers, operators, lenders, and others who have acquired a business or are involved in acquiring businesses.

The club also facilitates internships and other opportunities by providing a connection between current searchers and operators who are interested in hiring and investing in Darden MBA students.

Club members range from those keenly interested in ETA and plan to search for and acquire a business upon completion of the MBA to those who are interested in doing so later on in their career.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
