Over the past five years, the number and range of scholarships Darden offers have risen significantly as a priority of Darden’s capital campaign Powered by Purpose.
Darden has a robust portfolio of merit scholarships. Consideration for merit scholarships takes place during the admissions process after your complete application has been submitted. No additional application is required. A variety of metrics and factors including academic ability, professional and personal achievements and potential to contribute to the community are considered. Selected candidates are notified at the time of admission decision release if a scholarship has been awarded. These scholarships, which range from a modest stipend to full tuition and fees, seek to recognize a recipient’s experience while investing in his or her future.

Competitive Darden Scholarships
Darden offers several competitive scholarship programs to recognize high-achieving students who demonstrate a comprehensive set of characteristics, including outstanding academic achievement, professional accomplishments and leadership. Consideration for these scholarships, which provide full tuition and fees, may include a supplemental process. Initial consideration for all competitive Darden scholarships will be through the Darden admissions process.
External Partner Organizations
Darden is proud to be a member school or foundation partner with several external organizations whose missions may include supporting MBA students through scholarships, professional development, resources, community-building and mentoring. Consideration for most of these scholarships may include a supplemental process. Initial consideration for most external partner scholarship awards will be through the Darden application. These organizations independently select and award the scholarships.

Need-Based Scholarships
A need-based merit scholarship program called AccessDarden provides students admitted on merit the opportunity to apply for a need-based scholarship for each year of study.
Darden Worldwide Scholarship Program
In 2018, the Batten Foundation Darden Worldwide Scholarship program set Darden apart by funding a scholarship to cover the program fee for every Full-time MBA student to attend a global course. That means global learning is accessible to 100 percent of students in the Full-time MBA.
