Career Coaches: Michele Rankin

 Senior Director

Michele Rankin joined Darden’s Career Center as Senior Director after 6 years at Columbia Business School. As Director of Career Management at CBS, she coached students and alumni on career transitions and leadership development. Michele has a combination of corporate, start-up and public service experience. She was a Vice President at American Express where she worked for 16 years in both London and New York in a variety of roles in card marketing and operations, culminating in her role as Vice President Customer Experience. She was a Vice President with the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee where she recruited, trained and deployed a volunteer program spanning 8 days and 8,000 people for the 2014 Super Bowl. Michele has other varied experience: she founded a mortgage brokerage and property management business and served on her local town council for 10 years, three years as the Mayor. She holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern and is certified as a Designing Your Life and Myers-Briggs (MBTI) coach. She especially enjoys working with students on networking for Off Grounds, Specialized roles, and Entrepreneurship, and co-manages the Batten Venture Internship Program (BVIP).
