 Senior Director

Before joining Darden, Janeth spent over 16 years at Capital One, where she held multiple roles across analytics, internal consulting, operations, product management, and people leadership. During her tenure, she spearheaded multi-million-dollar programs, products, and operations across diverse business lines, and exhibited leadership in solving complex customer problems, especially in underserved groups. In her final position, she served as the Head of Product in the Card New-to-Credit organization at Capital One, focusing on creating new products and experiences to promote financial inclusion. As a seasoned people leader, Janeth consistently earned high marks for empowering, inspiring, and developing her teams. Additionally, she led talent development initiatives encompassing recruiting, learning and development, succession planning, leadership development, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

She holds a B.S. in Computing Systems Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia, an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, and an MBA from Darden (GEMBA '17), achieving academic accolades at all levels. A member of the Darden community, Janeth has continued to be actively involved, serving as a Board Member on the UVA Darden Global Advisory Counsel. She enjoys traveling, learning about new cultures, cooking, reading, and dancing. An avid paraglider, Janeth loves her annual visits to her family, providing her with the opportunity to soar over her beloved mountains in Santander, Colombia.
