Women's Symposium

Diversity Conference
9–10 November
The Diversity Conference will be most beneficial for prospective MBA students interested in learning more about Darden’s approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion and commitment to incorporating those principles into our MBA experience.
Overview
UVA Darden is pleased to host these two signature events in succession so that prospective MBA students and admitted Future Year Scholars in their deferral period can engage with current students, staff and faculty and experience much of what our community has to offer in areas that support our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Participants will be offered a seat to attend these events through a streamlined application process so that only one application and essay is required for both or either events. To accommodate as many participants as possible, we are excited to share that most of the programming for these events will be offered in a hybrid model. Attendees will be able to participate either in-person or virtually. When completing the application, simply indicate the events you would like to attend, and how you intend to participate (in-person or virtual). Our team will launch the application by early August. If you would like to receive an update and information about the application once it goes live, please submit the interest form at the top of this page or click here.
Perks: Accepted applicants who choose to attend one or both events in person will have their accommodation covered on Friday, 8 November for Women's Symposium attendees and Saturday, 9 November for Diversity Conference attendees by the Darden Admissions Office at the newly-opened Forum Hotel. Attendees who have not yet submitted their application fee by the conclusion of the events will also receive application fee waivers and guaranteed admissions interviews.
"I thoroughly enjoyed getting to attend Darden's Diversity Conference and Women's Admissions Symposium! It gave me a lot of good information about Darden to work with, but it also sparked ideas for me. The sessions were well-varied and informative about all the different aspects of the Darden MBA."

2023 Diversity Conference Highlights
"Before attending the event, I had many interactions with current students and alumni and they were really helpful. After enjoying all the sessions at the Diversity Conference, I learned more about how genuine the interactions between faculty members with students and alumni as well. The case method session was also my highlight and I think this is the right method for me to enhance my confidence in communicating my thoughts as an aspiring business leader."
