Panel Discussion Guest Speakers

The program will include two panel discussions around institutional trust and public policy around AI. The panels will feature guest industry speakers, including:

  • Michael Finnegan – President, Bradley Media Holdings (formerly Atlantic Media)
    Finnegan (MBA ’07) is an active player in the present and future state of media, serving in executive roles across Atlantic Media's portfolio for the last 14 years, and helping to lead efforts to build sustainable business models for high quality journalism.

  • Ben Renda – VP Trust and Safety, Epic Games
    Renda also serves as a Senior Adjunct Fellow for the Technology and National Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).

  • Danielle Whelton – Program Manager, Tik Tok
    Whelton has an extensive background in crisis communications, operational leadership, and gathering open-source  intelligence to mitigate disinformation and digital threats across the internet.

  • Soribel Feliz - Senior AI and Tech Policy Advisor, United States Senate
    Feliz advises Senator Bill Cassidy on emerging tech, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, data privacy, and the intersection of AI and health, education and labor.

  • Michael Richards - Senior Director of Policy, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Technology Engagement Center
    Richards manages the Chamber’s artificial intelligence and IT modernization work, which analyzes federal artificial intelligence, facial recognition, and IT modernization policy impacting U.S. businesses.

  • Courtney Lang - Vice President of Policy for Trust, Data, and Technology, Information Technology Industry Council (ITI)
    Lang leads ITI's global AI policy development and advocacy, where she's spearheaded initiatives to influence AI-related legislation and regulations worldwide.

  • Tom Romanoff - AI and Technology Policy Advisor
    Romanoff is an AI policy expert with experience working with artificial intelligence, data privacy, content moderation, and cybersecurity.

    The program begins at 9am the first day, after a welcome breakfast. The days generally run from 9am-5pm, wrapping up by 1:30pm on the final day. Featured session topics and workshops include:

    • Complementary Technologies for AI Safety, Security, and Trust - Surveying emerging innovations related to privacy, security, ownership
    • Institutional Trust Panel -  led by media industry leaders
    • GenAI & GoFundMe - Rethinking and Not Simply Automating the Process of Creating a Fundraising Campaign
    • Technology Forecasting - Learning, Experience, and Scale Curves for Predicting Future Cost Improvements
    • Ethics At Work - Understanding the context in which you can exercise ethical agency in your job
    • AI Public Policy Panel – led by policy experts
    • AI in the Public Sector – Planning an “AI Sprint” at the Department of Health & Human Services in light of the Executive Order on GenAI
    • Tech Demo & Happy Hour: Each of the first two full days will end with an opportunity to explore emerging technologies on display as you mingle with participants, faculty, and other Darden experts. You can pick and choose among a host of demo stations such as the ElevenLabs AI-Powered Text-to-Speech platform, an Oculus AR Training Videos from STRIVR, AI-enabled Meta Ray-Ban glasses, or creating your own Non-Fungible Token NFT.
