UVA-PLE collaborates with teams across the school system, school leadership, and teachers to jointly re-examine their system and enrich conditions to improve student outcomes and opportunities at scale. By focusing on teams, the impact lasts beyond any individual leaders. 

Our mission is clear – to empower system- and school-level leaders to catalyze significant improvements for schools and students that need it the most.

Our partnerships tailor to the specific needs and goals of each community, helping each system identify research-proven practices to advance that both empower rapid and sustainable school improvement and advance ingenuity responsive to the reality of their school and student needs. We can work in any school system committed to dramatic improvement, typically focusing on accelerating more equitable and excellence performance in a set of prioritized learning lab schools towards creating practices and systems that can scale.

We collaborate with superintendents and district leaders as a part of a core change team along with a learning lab of principals and teachers who share our vision of improving education, embarking on a multi-year journey to ignite systemic change for sustainable, scalable improvements.
