Scholarships

The Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management supports two scholarships related to asset management: the Mayo Center Fellows and the Elson Private Equity Scholarship.

  • Mayo Center Scholarship

    The Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management works directly with Darden Admissions and Darden Financial Aid to provide an annual scholarship to first-year students keen on pursuing careers in traditional asset management and investing.

    2022 Scholarship Recipient: Dillon Baley (Class of 2024)

    2020 Scholarship Recipient: Mollie Laverack (Class of 2021)

  • Elson Private Equity Scholarship

    Established by Louis G. Elson (MBA '90) in 2018, the Louis G. Elson Private Equity Scholarship acknowledges a member of the student body who best exemplifies spirit and excellence in the study and practice of private equity, including contributions to the Darden Private Equity Club's activities. The scholarship honors the history of investors who have graduated from Darden and recognizes a Second Year student for exceptional leadership and contributions to the pursuit of private equity careers and ties to practice in the curriculum. The scholarship will be awarded annually in the spring term in consultation with the faculty members most involved in the private equity course's instruction and the Mayo Center for Asset Management leadership team.
