Stephen Xu
Stephen (Zixin) is a third-year Ph.D. student in Data Analytics and Decision Sciences. He holds a master’s degree in Economics from the National University of Singapore and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Central University of Finance and Economics. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he worked as a product manager at Tencent and spent one year as a full-time research associate in management and economics at CUHK-Shenzhen. His research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty, probabilistic modeling, and bandit problems, with broader interests in healthcare and AI. His current projects span optimal stopping, the Metalog distribution, Bayesian learning, bandit theory, and human-AI decision-making.
