Inspired by the intellectual gatherings of 17th-century France, the Salon Series will create a consistent forum for exploring topics and themes of interest to the Institute. Each month, faculty, researchers, and thought leaders come together for discussions surrounding AI that invite collaboration and insight from the broader UVA community.
Fellowship in AI Research (FAIR) Symposium

Exploring the Value Chain of Ethical AI: Dive into Data Centers

Learn about one of the essential infrastructure components of the value chain of ethical AI through the perspectives of industry experts who are leading the charge in this dynamic sector. We will discuss the current historic growth, the professional opportunities that exist in this dynamic sector, and the business and societal challenges that must be addressed. The event is intended for the entire UVA community: students, faculty, staff and alumni.

UVA Conference on Ethical AI in Business

The third annual conference offered research-grounded insights about the promise and peril of artificial intelligence from some of leading experts from academia and business. Attendees heard from UVA scholars on the current state of AI development and from business practitioners on the effects of AI in their organizations.

Fellowship in AI Research (FAIR) Symposium

This second annual conference hosted by UVA Darden examined "The Value Chain of Ethical AI." Academics and practitioners explored where AI is headed over the next five years, the opportunities and risks businesses face, and how, as responsible leaders in business, we can navigate these “once in a generation” times.
