Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Conference
The 2026 Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Conference (GEIRC): Navigating Uncertainty: Building Resilient Ventures and Innovation Ecosystems in a Fragmented World will be hosted by Cambridge Judge Business School in Cambridge, United Kingdom from 15-16 June 2026.
The 2026 GEIRC, a collaboration between the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, and National Taiwan University College of Management will be the 14th gathering of the conference which rotates between North America (Virginia, Colorado), Europe (Cambridge), and Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan). This global conference aims to promote worldwide scholarly collaborations across regions, continents and academic communities.

GEIRC History
The Batten Institute at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business hosted the inaugural annual GEIRC in 2010. As the conference grew in popularity, Darden partnered with the Academy of Management in hosting the 2012 event. Since then, the event has rotated between the United Kingdom, the United States and Asia. Other hosts have included the Cambridge Judge Business School (2017, 2015 and 2014), the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Business and Economics (2018), National Taiwan University (2025) and the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business (2024).
Over its history, GEIRC has generated more than 35 published papers in leading journals including:
